Our First Mission Comes to a Close

We had a great week here at Secret Agent Camp. On Friday the whole camp gathered for an all camp meeting where each group tried to solve the mystery of who dumped the buckets of water on our camp EMT Bobby. All week groups worked to earn clues in their specials, and the Villain left one final clue outside yesterday.

10 out of the 12 groups figured out that the Villain was....Art Specialist Isabella. Stay tuned to hear about next week's Mission and Mystery: Trek Through the Jungle.

This week campers were also very busy in their specials. Here is what they were up to:

Story: In story time campers heard the classic Rainbow fish story and then made rainbow fish of their own. Check out the book trailer below

Sports: In sports campers played under the sea favorite "Swim Fishy Swim", "Squirrel and Nuts" the beanbag adventure game, and had soccer tournaments against other groups.

Music/Drama: This week campers started to film stop motion movies. After learning about the craft, campers brainstormed ideas, created props, and started to "film". We can't wait to share their final videos with you at the camp show on August 5th.

Game Room: This week campers campers got to play a camp favorites "Feed the Counselors" and the ever-so-tricky "4 Corners Guard the Pin" where each team tries to keep their bowling pins from being knocked down by the other 3 teams.

Science: In science campers learned about tornados, completed an obstacle course, and built rockets.

Art: In art this week campers stuck with out water theme making Popsicle stick fish and doing water color paintings.

Next week we had to make some changes to the schedule to accommodate a field trip that is happening at our sister camp, Great Ventures. We will be having swimming lessons for all grades, and free swim for 1st grade, on Monday. We will not be swimming on Tuesday. We have moved our Jungle Dress Up day to Tuesday, since that is the day with no clothes changing. All these changes are reflected in the BLUE calendar that came home this week, and the calendar on the website.

This afternoon we had an amazing performance of The Year of Frog and Toad. Check out the pictures below.

We are having a blast here at camp. Special thanks to Nick from The Bond Squad for leading the whole camp in the Bugaloo Cheer.

We leave you with a little video clip of us doing the Camp Summer Fun Dance!
